Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, & Webinars: Week 9 Part 1

 Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, & Webinars:

One of the main reasons in which people are going on the internet is to learn something, get something, or research something that they might need or want in their life. When coming to the internet people are going to feel way more pulled to buy something that has a personal feel to it rather than a computerized and vacant feel to it. Putting the human touch to your social media content is a great device to make your audience feel comfortable, connected, and gives an incentive to buy your product, service, or even just to come back to your site for more content.

People want to feel comfortable and understood when buying a product. When putting a human emotion or real-life example it adds that touch of similarity to the person and the brand. An example of this can be seen when a brand puts a persons' experience or review of the product and how it has helped their life. This allows the customer to put themself in the reviewer's shoes and imagine how it may help their personal life.

Another reason brands use personal emotion in their content is to get a reaction and a call to action. People tend to make decisions based off of their emotions and in turn purchasing a product from the emotional appeal of that product.

One more way in which brands utilize personal emotion is through social media influencers. This tactic takes the interests of the influencer to influence others in viewing your product or service. If the influencer has a good trust system with their followers, they will be more likely to go over and see what the influencer is promoting. This will gain new traffic and hopefully new customers.

One way in which emotion will not work when posting is when there is too much sad emotion put behind it that it makes the customer turn the other way, people want to feel good and if your content is consumed by sad stories or too much emotion the customer may feel heavy and not want to buy the product.

With this said, it is clear that adding an emotional side to your content and brand adds a new dimension of trust in your customers. It allows a personality to come through your brand and a human understanding of your product or service.

Until Next Time,
