 Wrap It Up:

The biggest way in which this class has benefited me and my brand is the new perspective that I look at social media. My new perspective is that social media is not just a sharing platform but it is a business. 

This class has taught me the fundamentals of preparing your posts beforehand, analyzing your audience, and being strategic with everything you put out on your platforms. Overall, this class has taught me to treat my social media as a valuable tool in growing my business, brand recognition, and audience.

Some useful tools that I have learned along the way are including hashtags in your posts. I’ve seen this done by many people however, I never knew the value until I tried it myself. By adding hashtags to your post you allow for more people from different audiences to see your posts and broaden your exposure. This is such a useful tool in exposing your brand to new people and demographics.

As well, another tool that I learned in this class that I found very useful is to schedule my posts a week or even a month in advance. To have the backbone of my posting schedule allowed for much more flow when posting and even creating content. With a content calendar, I was allowed to get organized and know exactly what content needed to be made for the month. By doing this I would not be scrambling every day to try to create a post. 

Lastly, I learned about new social media platforms that I had no idea would be so fundamental for my brand. I learned about the different things each social media platform provided while ruling out which ones would work best for my brand. By expanding my knowledge on these different social media platforms it allowed me to pick and choose which ones I want to use for my brand.

This class has taught me the importance of strategic social media planning. I look at social media from a new light and I am excited to explore and grow my knowledge in the coming future. Thank you for the educational and exciting class!
